John Robert Lewis- US Congressmen and Civil Right Leader dies in the age of 80 dues to advanced pancreatic cancer. John Lewis was suffering from advanced pancreatic cancer and fought for almost a year.

John Robert Lewis was the last surviving crux speaker of the historic gathering in August 1963 when Martin Luther King gave his memorable “I Have a Dream” speech. John Lewis also said on the very same day and at the very same time where people learned the power of the Civil Rights Movement in the United States of America. He included ‘ by the power of our numbers and by the power of our determination, we shall recollect a thousand pieces of separate lands and unite them with God and Democracy. He chanted, “ Wake up America, as we need to collect and end this racial discrimination.”

Former President of the United States of America, Barack Obama said that John lives an extraordinary life where he has done so much to build the country. Still, he never thought of any of his actions as something that an ordinary citizen would not do. It was John who recognized the power in all of us to unite and love everyone with respect and integrity.

During the age of 25yrs, John was badly beaten by a group of white Alabamian people where he, with 600 others, was demonstrating a peaceful march for the right of equal voting. He lived every day of his life to provide justice and equality among Americans.

In his last statement, John Robert Lewis said that we couldn’t allow the President ( Donald Trump) to undo the progress we fought so hard for”.
