Supply of UNDP equipment to Cote d’Ivoire for 1.5 billion CFA francs

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has provided equipment worth 1.5 billion CFA francs for the benefit of Ivorian people and organizations as part of its cooperation program with the state of Ivory Coast.

The official handover ceremony took place on Friday at PK28, west of Abidjan, as part of the implementation of a cooperation plan between the Ivory Government and the UNDP (CPD 2021-2025).

UNDP donated a total of 3 4 × 4 dual chambers, 250 motorcycles, 10 ambulances, 10 agricultural tractors, 300 electric bicycles, 2,500 solar lights, 400 computers and printers and other valuables to Code de Ivory. 1.5 billion CFA francs.

According to Ivory Minister of Planning and Development Kaba Nieale, these donations are aimed at providing the operational capabilities of ministries and national structures and civil society organizations.

Decentralized communities are also beneficiaries of these donations, as well as projects and projects implemented through our collaborative framework, underlined by Ms. Kaba Niallo.

He said that many concessions have already taken place and to date the recipients are concerned about the ministries involved in the primary projects in the various priority areas of the country.

“For our six recipient regional councils, they are involved in two major initiatives of our cooperation program: the Reunification Program and the Strengthening Social Cohesion in the Displaced Areas; and the Support Program for the Development of Inclusive Value Chains (PACIPIL),” he added.


The UNDP program aims at sustainable management of natural resources and the fight against climate change, along with programs to strengthen forest and environmental management.

It should allow support for the development of the blue economy around the maritime protected area of ​​the Grand Peribi, the Ministries of Water and Forestry and the social approach to environment and sustainable development.

The UNDP, the Ministry of Vocational Integration, Vocational Training and SMEs, concludes with a program to support entrepreneurial innovations and job creation for youth socio-economic inclusion.

The initiator of the donation was personally thanked by UNDP Citizens’ Representative Ms. Kaba Niall.

The Ministry of Planning and Development, in addition to its role in the implementation of the cooperation program, is directly involved in the implementation of certain projects such as “PACIPIL and PPSD”.
